The White Armory – Arwen Evenstar Gown and upcoming show

I recently had a fun evening out with the family to see “The Hobbit.”  This Tolkien classic in book form was my first foray into the medieval/fantasy genre back when I had just turned 13, and I have been a diehard fan or all things fantasy and magical ever since.  Noting the many cameos from some of “The Lord of the Ring” cast, I had wondered if we would also see Liv Tyler, playing Arwen, who I think makes the perfect elf. I won’t tell you if I did or I didn’t, as you may wish to see the movie, but I was nonetheless inspired to style up Bee Dumplings Arwen Evenstar gown, from The White Armory in homage.

With arm drapes reminiscent of calla lilies, floaty lavender chiffon, waterfall sleeves, and a sparkle here and there that makes me think of fireflies at dusk, this is elven glamour at its best.

And for more fantasy and fashion, mark your calendars now for The White Armory’s Winter Wonderland show, scheduled for January 19th, at 2pm.  Tp to the store, then take a teleport up to the Ice Fantasy Platform.

TWA Arwen Eventide Close

Finishing this look is delicate diamond Delphine jewelry from Virtual Impressions, matching Bouquet eye makeup from White Widow and a fancy updo from Son!a.  Although, I think I still need to add elf ears to my shopping list for the next go around.

Totally Impressed with Marissa

I am just blown away with this wonderful diamond and gemstone Marissa set from Virtual Impressions.  Chrissy Ambrose has not only given us an incredible piece to accent our favorite formal gown…the Gem change version of Marissa actually enables us to do that very thing, match ANY gown.  She gives us options between either white or black diamond accents surrounding a choice of 21 available gemstones, with 6 different metal options.  I’m no math major, but when you total up the potential color combinations it comes to…..A LOT!  And since all the choices are controlled via a detachable hud, it won’t lag you out with scripts.

I’m wearing the necklace and earring combination in the Rhodochrosite gemstone, surrounded by black diamonds in platinum metal.  I purposely picked the colorful Exotica gown by Morea Style to show you there is truly nothing you can’t coordinate this jewelry set to.

While Marissa is available in individual gemstone color versions, the Gem Change set really gives you the biggest bang for the buck.  Also…something I only learned recently, Chrissy gives her group members more than 50% off the retail price when you wear your tag.  So much value….so much beauty…and at a price that fits any pocketbook.

Ancestor of Avalon

The mists part as you crest the hill, sunlight just breaking over the valley beneath you, and there below, the gleaming walls of Avalon.  Dressed in your courtly best, and ready for a royal ball, your carriage descends into this land of dreams and romance.

The Ancestor of Avalon gown by Bee Dumpling of The White Armory is a gown that commands attention with its soft blend of grey/blue silk, soft wedgewood-blue tone-on-tone satin and white chiffon.  It is a vision of luxury and feminine grace, rife with many look-at-me details, like the white satin rose at the waist, the rear bustle and back bow, and tiered skirts with silver-jeweled trim.  In this gown, you are ready to take the kingdom by storm.

Minty Fresh and Budding with Romance

I took this confection named Daria, by Sykao Adamski of Entre Mares, to the Rose Theatre because it was so soft and airy, I just had to twirl in it.  With a lovely smattering of tone-on-tone flowers and chiffon modesty panel and cap sleeves, this is a romantic dress for being swept off your feet.

With a soft mermaid shape to kiss the curves, low scooped back,  and long layered train, this beauty could easily be a wedding gown in white with the addition of a veil.  Fortunately for you brides-to-be, this dress also comes in a silver version, which is actually a sparkling white, despite its name.

Virtual Impressions Delphine jewelry in Silver was the perfect compliment, as the flowers in the jewelry are similiar in shape to flowers in the gown.  Finally, Naomi hair from D!va with its color-change scarf gives just a hint of accent color, while still keeping this look fresh and romantic.
